We have two days to discover the remarkable wine and site diversity of the Alsace region.

Haut Koenigsbourg castle

With multiple, sometimes inextricable complexity, of "terroirs" and each vintage yielding a different wine, Alsatian production is sometimes difficult to apprehend. Some wines are light, fluid and graceful while some others are sumptuous, concentrated and grand.

The wineries we will visit are considered among the best by their peers and wine critics alike.

After a morning drive from Arbois, our first stop is the Cave Vinicole de Ribeauville. The oldest French wine "cooperative", produces remarkable Cremant, many different Gewurtztraminer, Muscat , Riesling, Sylvaner, Tokay and Pinot noir.

A lunch at the winery's restaurant will allow you to match wines and food.

For an afternoon digestive walk, we will visit the Haut Koenigsbourg castle, a beautiful example of medieval Saxon architecture.

Two nights in Strasbourg at "The Regent Petite France", a 4* located in the hearth of this very active town, siege of the European Counsel. The city of Strasbourg, charming, active, and not well known enough, is a very good surprise for many visitors.
