On the way to Reims, we will stop by Verdun and some of WW1 battlefields sites.

A guided visit will help us to understand the terrible living conditions of the soldiers of both sides, during "la Grande Guerre" (Great War), as it is called in Europe. 

Douaumont fort and ossuary, underground military installations, trenches. 

One hour drive will bring us to Reims, capital of the Champagne region.

If time permits, a visit to a small independent champagne producer will end the day.

Our hotel in Reims will be the "hotel de la Paix" or the "hotel des Templiers", both 3*, perfectly located in the center of the city, surrounded by shops and at a 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral.
