Our second stop will be at the Clos de la
Madeleine (grand cru classe). A presentation of 3 different wines from 3
different "terroirs" of the Saint Emilion will illustrate the
relation wine/"terroir". This tasting will take place in their
spectacular cellars, dug in the rocks.
After lunch in the village, you will have time to meander in
the streets of this charming Saint Emilion village, visit the "monolith" church carved in the rock
between the years 800 and 1100 as well as the 7th century cave, refuge of the monk
who founded the city.
Our last stop will be for Chateau
Laniote (grand cru classe) located on the plateau. Florence et
Arnaud de la Filolie will
share their passion for their work and production.
