After centuries of defensive building, the first “leisure” and romantic castle: Azay-le-Rideau is our next stop.

A walk in the medieval town of Chinon in the foot steps of Joan of Arc and Richard Lion’s heart followed by a local wines tasting will end the day.

 Day 4 – Thursday – Sept 14th 2017

We kept the largest and most famous castles for our last day in the region.  An early drive will bring us to Chenonceau; improved and owned only by women during its entire history, this castle definitely has a feminine feel and beauty.

We will visit spectacular Chambord and its 365 fireplaces before catching a high speed train to CDG airport late afternoon. This will allow a stress free morning departure to land home same day afternoon.

Froggytravel services end at the train station.
